Announcing RE:Source, the Inland NW By-Product Synergy Network

Numerous businesses and public organizations have begun working together to launch a Spokane regional by-product synergy network – RE:Source. The network’s concept promises to strengthen local and regional businesses as well as the economy.  Working under a two-year WA State Dept. of Ecology Public Participation Grant awarded to Sustainable Resources INW, this network is advocating and employing 21st century “circular economy” best business practices that have been shown to lower operating costs, reduce waste disposal, create new business opportunities and extend our vital natural resources, through the exchange and reuse of materials.   Participating local business leaders will have access to new resources, including a materials exchange network and free workshops on strategies used around the world to make businesses more efficient, innovative and competitive.

Sustainable Resources INW is new administrator for SMART Green Business recognition program, Press Release

Sustainable Resources INW is the new administrator for the Sustainable Management of Assets, Resources, and Technology (SMART) Program, originally launched by the City of Spokane in 2008. Formerly limited to businesses within Spokane city limits, the program will now be expanded into a regional program.
